About Piracy, Torrents And Other Associated Things.

One day in our Galaxy there was a beutiful day when one of the branches of human progress finally reached this level  - when people became able to, within a few seconds, share anything, like books, or programs, or other things made for people or by people, with others. This meant that every single achievment of every single man on Earth could have become available for other every single man - which actually brings the level of society integration to a depth level never being imagined.
Yes, with such pathos I just said about different file exchange technologies - for example, the most known and widespread, and possibly the most discussed of them - torrent-trackers. Someday every person connected to the internet used this - which often considered as "stealing". Actually, I never could really get such an analogy - when you steal something material (chocolate in a supermarket) - you harm the shop by taking what he owns truly. About torrents it seems more appropriate to say - like I get to the supermarket and copied this chocolate with some kind of futuristic copy-machine. Well, of course, nobody will ever buy a chocolate if such kind of copy-machine would exist (excuse me my poor grammar) - according to laws of demand - but it's not the actual reason of putting a ban on such great, flexible and progressive technologies like "material copy-pasters"!
What, in my opinion, should we do to feed authors of intellectual content properly (nobody byes chocolates now, everybody copies, authors are hungry, nobody wanna be hungry, no authors, no more chocolates)? Well, at first, now we see that scheme "pay-if-you-want-how-much-you-can-pay" actually works! Examples? Whole lotta, just take Radiohead with their "In Rainbows", or Nine Inch Nails experiments with distribution. Even albums "stolen" through the internet (also it's about games or anything) often gets paid well - it's because good media content, while being spread all over the internet through torrents, gets a huge impact of advertising between users. Which means that authors get more profit - there are a lot of people consciously ready to pay authors.
Free-to-pay is good of course, but surely it couldn't be the main source of author's profit. I guess nowadays torrent stuff should search for some ways of arrangement betweent them and content procreators. I'm sure there are pretty enough options to do it - think yourself, how many users browse torrents and, hence, how much money could torrents make putting advertisments in right places (well, they already make). We just need to work out some kind of law mechanism here to regulate this relations and please everybody - banning torrents and putting everyone in prison (everyone in entire Internet network! remember it) is the worst way here.

About half a year ago, maybe less, attempt to listen to this

resulted in painful hurt somewhere below the spine. My inside censor said me something indicipherable, I understood only "flithy metalcore breakdowns" and "awww fuck these vocals, he's just like puking the words". Then censor ordered "TWO AND A HALF" and destroyed himself leaving me alone with my RYM rating.

So, I came to fresh this up - with concrete purpose of destroying my ears. And suddenly nearly broken my neck in some series of sloooooow and deep headbanging. And, well, succeeded in first. Then repeated from the beggining. Just "got" this music.
Totally underground. As I said, flithy, droning, invarious, repetetive. Junky and alcoholic. Misonthropic. Music of crapped and barfed floor on which someone stinky and drunk fucks your sister. This guys say they're rooted from the Melvins. Well, seems pretty true towards Melvins I know (2 repeat listens of Houdini), but it's even MORE slow. Invote Melvins in cube and add ultraviolence. Then BURN HER! RAPE!

Why I deleted lastfm

Some people really asked about that. Ok.
At first
It doesnt even properly scrobble. Nearly half of my music comes through my badaphone - which is unable to do this simple operation. Significant lack? Like I ever cared about scrobbles.
Second
Lastfm is useless for me, from any point. It doesnt represents me my own attidute to my music. It doesnt represents it to other guys. It's just the number of listened off tracks being systematised by artist. Means nothing. So it just got replaced with something more applicable to my own tasks and purposes - I love to systematise everything, I love music, but lastfm doesnt help in it at all.

Biorole Wareplay

For now, while fellas are taking the shit out of space mega-drama ME3, I'm in process of completing (munchkining) Dragon Age. Yep, it's first, fun-admitted part. Slowpoke. So, I feel being in a bit...disorder. Well, I like that game actually, this world, dialogs, some scenario turns and misc. But something felt completely, fully, disguastingly...not right, and this feeling haunted me through my modest 30-hours in-game expirience entirely, without letting me go.
Then a sharp thought stroked me like thunder, and I understood. Yes, this game has lots of simple, quite pseudo-tactic, long, boring and exhausting battles with hordes of various monsters. A significant lack, but not that much. Lots of useless micromanagent maybe? No. I'm quite old RPG-fan and never been afraid of such nonsense.
Yes! Yes! Exactly! RPG! Thats where the shoe pinches! I didn't feel, you know, outplaying a role. It's actually a global sense of such kind of games - full, complete, seamless transition into a body of post-apocaliptic nuclear cowboy, or dark-elf-ex-ship-prisoner-powerful-mage-alchemist. Living hes (or her) life, not entirely - usually from the moment our alter-ego becomes a grown up, old man humanoid.
And you know what? I didn't outplayed someone in Dragon Age. And I couldnt feel this playing Mass Effect also, both of two first parts. DA:O and ME 1&2 are felt and played by me exactly as "interactive cinema" - you know, like Heavy Rain, where there are two cituations to complete ordinary game scene: 1)Your option doesn't change ANYTHING during the gameplay process and 2)Alter you've chosen affecs on the current scene ending, and... IT CHANGES COMPLETELY NOTHING!
(well, of course it's overdone, Heavy Rain is great and enjoyable game, but the situation seems suitable here).
So - I just...cannot love such kind of games. Regrettably for Heavy Rain, with quite thrilling action and nearly cinematic direction (fuck, it isn't ROLEPLAY, but, you know, it's even more than guess what), in DA this monorail plot clamps you into not usually obvious, but tight frames, which allow to enjoy the game, but not to feel it.
So, the questions are: how did RPGs come to the situation when technological level increasingly growned, but instead of higly anticipated full-throttle we just kept getting more narrow, corridor and such "interactive-cinema-type" games? How do you see the ways of dealing with this obvious RPG-crysis? Finally, when will mankind jump to the new, colossal and epic era of neo-Roleplay games when there will be no borders - only the Game and the Role?
I hope it will.
